Thanks guys. (I just realized someone already has the Avatar I picked so it may change.) I have Torque Thrust Twos, 18x10 on the rear, 6 inch backspacing with 275/40s, and 17x8 w/4.75 backspacing on 225/45s on the front to keep the sidewalls the same. Some minor rubbing on turn/bumps from the fronts I just have to be careful... (I have 2inch drop spindles in the front and 1.5 drop Hotchkis leafs with 1 more inch down blocks to get the low look. Tires are Kumho Ecsta SPTs, not the best but the price was great. Summit Racing had the front wheels in stock but the rears took almost 7 weeks to get! Torture!

Default My 68 Firebird

Here's my firebird. I got this car in 1978 right out of high school. In 85 I buried the 160 speedo,,,never again thought I was gonna die! In 1988 I decided to turn it into a 4X4. It is not on a 4X4 frame, it is on the original Firebird subframe. It steers and drives perfect, way better than it did as a 2 wheel drive. I drive this car EVERY day. It has the original deluxe interior, original dash pad and bench buckets with factory A/C, all in perfect condition plus it still has the original AM radio.
It has an International 345 torque monster ported and polished with a three angle valve job. The heads are also shaved .037 with shim style head gaskets for best compression. I installed a 727 torqueflite, dana 20 transfer case and dana 44 axles front and rear with 4.09 gears and track lock differentials.
This car is a rocket! Iv'e out ran several Corvette's. It out climbs everything with licence plates that I've been up against. It does a 907 RTI on the ramp. We take it rock crawling every chance we get. We get surrounded at every stop we make. Here's some action shots.

Man, that is for sure. My wife and I laugh at all the differant reactions we get. And believe me EVERY car that comes down the interstate bounces their nose off the side glass. We always take it as a compliment. That last pic is way too small,, let me try again now.

Not any more. Quit muddn about 12 years ago. After filling the floor with water twice and doing a complete clean and dry both times I decided to keep er dry and stick to climbing. It is a rust free car.
