Headers for my car
I'm looking for suggestions for having custom headers made for my car.
1968 Firebird that will be getting an IA2A 507 with raised port Tigers. Stock chassis with stock style suspension at this point, might convert it over to a rack and pinion steering with tubular arms. I know it will be costly, as I want to extract full potential of the engine. I have a set of flanges for the heads (2 1/8") Any suggestions for a fabricator within reasonable distance to OK (500 or so miles)? Or as a very long shot, does someone have something for sale? |

The raised port tigers have a different location. Please send me pictures though and price through PM, might be a good interim solution with some modification. Thank you.

If you have flanges they have these mock up things to use to custom make a set. I had them copy my Hooker 4202 in SS by sending them the set .

IMHO the gains would be negligible, Motor trend did a dyno test on Pontiac.
Long tube are the best gainers and in my experience Doug's fit the best. HP will be the SAME gain as custom. |

Thanks Skip. I have seen these kits and might consider.
