Surprised there isn't a new thread about all the $100,000 Pontiacs? The car this thread is about went for over $300,000 I believe.

Wow! I see the Brewster Green brought $260K of green! That is very fitting, such a great car!
I so wish I’d know the day they were loading it up for auction back home, would’ve loved to hear it run and take some videos of it and its brethren being loaded up! The 69 TA brought $325k, 69 RAIV Judge $240k, 71 Formula 455HO $110k!

I was surprised to see that the 74 SD455 T/A went for only 100k? Being unrestored, with just 12K miles I would’ve thought that would’ve brought much more.
I’m sure it would’ve brought more if it was a 4spd, but that sure looked like one clean car in person!

Here’s a link to see that entire collection that he sold. Interesting that these numbers are higher than what I reported earlier, I suppose it’s the commission fees added?

That’s a good question! Their wording:
“Built at the Norwood Assembly Plant, this 1973 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am is one of just seven such cars built with the top-level 455 Super Duty V-8, the 4-speed manual transmission and finished in the one-year-only Brewster Green.” I would’ve thought there would’ve been quite a few more Brewster Green 4 speed SD cars built there that year… Maybe they meant with all the exact option combos that this one has?
