Default 70 Trans Am weight

Anyone know what the 70 Trans Am weight is? Trying to find out if it is above 3500# or below 3500#. I looked at my old Michigan title for my 72 formula and it says 3541# ... so guessing the TA would be slightly more? Thanks, Andy

That's exactly what my car weighed before any mods. 3650. It's a 4spd no option car.

Good information! I've been surprised ever since I ran my 72 base model Firebird across the scales years ago and it was only 3380 pounds. I had considered it a fluke from running a car across truck scales.

The only options on the 72 350/350 car are power brakes and power steering. I wonder if the base model birds had less sound deadening installed compared to the upper models.
