Questions on this 78 Formula Sunroof
I stumbled upon a real original and pretty clean 78 Formula today that I might be able to trade for, for a decent price. The seller claims the sunroof (SR) was original but I know it wasn't. I have read that some cars were sent to ASC for conversions as a dealer add-on?
A very knowledgeable fella on facebook said he thought it was an ASC and mentioned I should join here. It was raining today when I saw the car so I couldn't get many pics but the SR kind of bummed me out. It looks like a REAL good job on the install, doesn't look hacked one bit. The headliner inside is well trimmed around it and the owner mentioned having the original interior "Sun blocker" panel that blocks the SR inside the vehicle. I'm real interested in the car and I know SR would normally kill any value but I really like the car and its a Berkshire Green with deluxe tan interior car. The gauges/dash are in beautiful shape as well as the body. Thanks! |

So, the owner replied to my text and this is a powered sunroof with a switch mounted to the roof at the headliner.
