That damage is not too bad.
I think I have some good used valves and retainers I can send you and then you could run those two heads once new valve stem O rings are put on.

Getting those
beat up valves out of the guides without harm to the valve guide will take a good bit of grinding though.

OK, I bought the 093 heads and block from a stalled project, the seller told me that the block was decked .020-.30 I can't remember the exact amount. Now when decking a block, do you also take the same amount from the heads and intake, or does none of that matter for what I'm doing? Also, I talked with someone at Butler last year about this same block, he said it didn't matter, because custom pistons will put the pin where it needs to be in relation to deck height, he also said that there was a huge variance in factory blocks that hadn't been decked, when rebuilt, and there was really no set factory deck height for a pontiac V8, he said the 389 I had sounded like it had 1 more build in it. Opinions?

Ok I must have misunderstood the op.
I thought this motor was needed to run once again just to jokey the car around, where as now it sounds like your looking to rebuild it and fully use it .

If that’s the case then I strongly suggest finding a bigger cid motor then this 326 to rebuild.

It never fails, if you use this 326 then down the road you will be wanting more high speed power out of it and that will come at the cost of drivability.

I would start with nothing less then a 350.

Anyway in stock form these are 354 cid which right off the bat puts you 28 cid ahead of the 326!

Even at a measly .4 Hp per cid that puts the 350 14 hp ahead of the 326.

Yes, this 326 is just a temp motor, I'll be selling it when I'm finished with it. The 093 heads have been sitting on a shelf for a few years, but came off a good running 389, I may just buy new gaskets and bolt them on the 326, I actually forgot I had them, and didn't know that they would work on the 326.

Good, that’s the way to work this out and you then have the needed rockers and push rods I hope, because used rockers should stay mated to there push Rod’s.

This is why Pontiac use to only supply new rockers with the needed push rod.
