1970 Formula Firebird Rear Seat Belts Needed
I have a numbers matching 1970 Formula Firebird that I'm working to put back to 100% original. I'm in need or a set of black rear seat belts. Please let me know if you have or know of someone who has a set. Thanks

the great think about the rear belts is that these rear belts cane be had or pieced together from other cars.
The rear female belts are a standard for thee time adjustable belt with a blue logo on the button; They should match the style of the original(?) front buckles. The rear male belts are a fixed length plain belt; I just measured one from my car - 15" end to end. You should also reach out to a moderator to move this to the "70-81 Firebird - parts wanted" sub-forum.

Don't ignore worn out and faded belts if they have perfect chromework etc, simple to get rewebbed in black. If not seeking 100% originality I'd also consider the rear retractor option, as an upgrade unless you have plans to never have anyone ride in the rear. Again, you can have good original buckles and receivers swapped over in place on new belt setups so they match what you have up front. Years ago in the Pontiac magazines there were guys who printed up original seatbelt tags with date codes for restorations. Not sure the legality of adding them to newer or replaced original belts. Just some ideas.

Look up Ssnake Oyl in Texas. They do an unbelievable job reconditioning your original seat belts. Reproduce labels & everything. Not cheap though.
