WTB 1971 NOS Heater control valve
Anybody have an NOS heater control valve for a '71 Firebird for sale? I'm not sure what years or body styles are the same but what I need has the mounting bracket attached to it. The replacement 4 Seasons one looks identical but does not have the mounting bracket. Any help would be appreciated.

Actually after closer inspection the the bracket come off the valve, the valve has threads on it for a nut. But still looking for the correct valve.

Is this heater control valve only used on early firebirds? All the mid to late year 2nd gen birds Ive had didnt have a separate control valve, the heater core gets full hot water all the time and the inside temp is controlled by a flapper door in the heater core box.

That is correct, as a matter of fact I believe all Pontiacs are like that with a mid Gen change...

1970 Assembly diagram, vacuum-operated heater tap with AC from 70-71 models, and fresh air vacuum door in the AC case of the 70-73 models. There was a limited run of reproduction mounting brackets for the tap a few years ago.
