1969 Trans Am Convertible Questions
Hey everybody, Im new here and Ive been searching for the past few days for the chassis numbers on all 8 of the 69' Trans Am Convertibles (223679 cars). I came across a photo of what looks to be a 69 trans am convertible (Blue top). the car was restotred locally to me around 2007/2008/2009, and i was curious as to if it was real and which one it was. So i decided to get a list of all 8 and narrow it down.
everyone here is so knowlagable, so ive found so far 6 cars and one that was sold new in Williamsville, New York, near buffalo where this photo i found was taken. and another that used to live here some other time. So far ive found 6 223679N106884 and 223679N104810, the Mecum cars 223679N104810 sold new in Williamsville NY 223679N105354 which i believe is 8/8 and sold new in canada 223679N109938 sold new in Pontiac MI and 223679N104808 thats all i have in terms of chassis numbers If any of you guys have any vins of the other 2, or if any of my information is wrong, please let me know so i can add and update my list. There is a photo of the one that was restored here in Buffalo in the early 2000s, and if anyone can help me narrow it down or figure out which car it is that would be amazing. Thanks everyone! im happy to be here! |

Pick up the HPP mag that covers the 69, they did all your homework.

A few years ago, MCACN (?) had 7 of the eight there I believe.
Search the archives here, should be a few threads on them.

Wow! That’s crazy! Really neat that cars that rare were all around here back then. Culligan is a name that rings a bell, they used to have a lot of dealerships. One of the grandsons I believe runs the Ferrari/Maserati/Alfa Romeo dealership in Williamsville.
Do you have any photos of the cars when they were here? Or remember which one the other one was? I know the one that was sold new here but I’m not sure I’m aware of another Super cool, thank you for sharing! |
