Default Factory Hurst Shifter Bushings

I have a 71 M13 3 speed with original hurst shifter. There are no bushings in the shifter arms... just the rods fitting through the holes in the arms.

I'm sure there is wear but Linkage doesn't seem too sloppy. Is there such a thing as a bushing kit for these?

Will a Hurst Pit Pak work like link below?

I'm using a factory Hurst shifter that came out of a '78 Trans Am. It had no bushing at the transmission arms, as you describe. No appreciable wear so I left that alone. I got the Hurst bushing kit to replace the rubber bushings at the shifter arms. They're not a direct swap...the arms need to be machined out larger. My machinist friend reported that the arms were really hardened and difficult to machine.....not something to do at home with a drill bit. Based on my limited experience, if the shifter doesn't have annoying slop, you may want to leave it alone.

Okay, that's helpful Eric. That's what I needed to know. Looking at mine, seems the same as yours. Thanks!--Kim
