Fantastical GMC Motorhome sketches
Found these wild renderings of a GMC Motorhome in a Hagerty article that gave no context or explanation of a source.
. https://www.hagerty.com/media/car-pr...th-bad-timing/. That was linked from an article that there was a "Homecoming" a week or so ago where the assembly plant was located: . https://www.hagerty.com/media/automo...g-50-years-on/ . . Last edited by einstein; 10-24-2023 at 10:49 PM. |

Sure looks good, but that $2,000 windshield probably sunk the concept. Oh and imaging driving in direct sunlight with a weak AC.

C'mon, HIS, did ya gotta make the first response a black pill?
It's just a cartoon! And I don't need to imagine the hot sun and weak AC, I've experienced it often enough in our 76 Eleganza. Shoulda bought an early 77 for the better dash AC while keeping a 455. |

Reminds me of the late 1960s Tonka Truck car haulers.

They are expensive classics now. Seems they figured out the door issue too. https://www.gmcmi.com/motorhomes-for-sale/

You might recognize some of Paul Deesen's other work. He also did the concave rear window on the '63GP, the body side on the '65 big cars, and was the originator of the redline tire. https://www.deansgarage.com/gm-desig...-sebring-1957/ Paul was in the Widetrackers Chapter of POCI until his passing. The 1977 and maybe 1978 Impala had a "bent" rear window kind of like that when the first downsized B bodies came out.

Teleportation device. Resembles Star Trek shuttlecraft, right?
