Since your 6X heads have screw in studs if you can at this time afford it, go with the new full 7/16” studs and a poly lock set up.
Either way be sure to check your push rod plates for side ware.

I torqued all 16 nuts to 20 ft lbs just to see if the motor would run bad or not, 14/16 were basically a 16th of a turn before the torque wrench clicked. Engine runs good, I marked the pushrods and ran it with the valve covers off and all 16 push rods are spinning. I was also able to turn the pushrods with my fingers before and after torquing the nuts down. If i have another one come loose or anything I’ll get those butler performance locking nuts, but I’m hopeful that torquing these to spec will work. I’m assuming it’s good to be able to still be able to spin the pushrods with my fingers, so long as the valve isn’t being opened right?
