Shoot an email over to these guys at Belden Speed & Engineering via this site: https://www.rustreplace.com/

Possibly the nicest guys I’ve ever dealt with and they know every intricate detail.

No problem. I remember doing a bunch of research about clips and such thinking j knew exactly what I wanted to be “correct”. One email to them and they gave me the most detailed and personalized response including old pics and history about factory installs… it was crazy.

They even wanted me to get back to them knowing how the install went. Great guys. That website has an unbelievable amount of links to specific details.

No need to reinvent the wheel, many places sell them. Stick to metal for OE trim, may need the later plastic replacements for trouble areas on repro trim. Any restoration parts shop should be able to supply, you are using an Ames forum...

try Au-ve-co they are an OEM supplier
keep in mind there are many clips to chose from so best to have one you know is correct to match up.

I've always had good luck with Restoration Specialties when trying to find information or source an unusual clip. Otherwise I've ordered clips from OPGI.com. Our cars are different, but worth a try.
