I’ll be in Warren MI for the weekend, and was wondering what car guy stuff might be going on Saturday a.m. and where, particularly if a Pontiac focus exists?
Thanks

Thank you
Appreciate the good info. I was initially very confused by Cruisin’ Gratiot. When I lived in the area that was a Friday & Saturday night kinda thing. But that is later in the day than I have. Got my 2nd traffic ticket ever on Gratiot. “Obstructing traffic” - the cop knew the truth about how slow my car was, I guess. Thanks again

I like Zingerman's and Pasteiner's, but if you're coming from Warren ... hit Pasteiner's.

Thanks Again.
Made it early to Pasteiners (it gets crowded quick, though I parked a ways away). Even bought book. Zingerman's, maybe another time, back in the day I couldn't afford shopping there on student budget. When the Trans Am made the turn, I knew my morning was worthwhile. Owner was a nice guy. Later, saw something from my childhood, an 1989 (or 1990) Pontiac 6000 STE AWD, same color as Dad's - Dark Blue Metallic, GM's first AWD car. Never thought I'd see one on the road, as my dad's was not reliable - block replaced under warranty, ABS module issues (and parts unavailability), etc. And the only pictures of his car we have was when the window was smashed and the radio stolen (while in their driveway). That car cost $23k in the day, which today would be $56k Button engineering at its best! Regards

Wow, that 6000 STE is in really nice shape. I see you’re in Cincinnati…my Dad worked for GM at the Hamilton Fisher Body plant on Dixie Hwy. He bought a new Corvette in 84 (which at the time I think was more highly anticipated than the C8) and a new 6000 became our family car in 1985. It had a ‘fuel injection’ emblem on the trunk and was one of the first cars on the road with the high mounted brake light on the package tray. It was a solid, reliable car we held onto until the mid-90s. Over 200k miles on the original motor and tranny although near the end I was putting a quart of oil in it seemingly every week due to leaks. I do remember seeing the STE shortly after we got ours and thinking that extra headlight was way cooler. My Dad brought one home as a company car once and I remember it had an air compressor in the truck which was cool, and all those buttons on the dash and steering wheel. Thanks for the reminiscing…
