Mom cars?
I thought some of you might get a chuckle out of this poster for a band called Mom Cars. Pretty nice Safari, could be a nice Dad car, too!

Its all perspective from a given audience.
Before I bought my 911 I was running options by my fiance just because I was curious. I showed her pictures of a 2012 CTS-V and was asked why I wanted that old lady car. Similar response to a couple AMG Mercedes and BMW "M" cars. To her they just looked like normal cars. To me when I am next to one of those cars as opposed to their normal CTS or non AMG cousins I immediately recognize it. I see subtle line changes out of the corner of my eye and am drawn to them. That conversation was an eye opening experience to me, because it showed how much non car people don't see the same things that I do. Similarly one of my best friends is a super non car guy. He could be a billionaire and would drive a honda civic. Just doesn't care. I remember we were at a stop light one day and I oggled at an 87 GN that pulled up next to us. He couldn't understand why I was interested in "That old black piece of junk"

Back in the day, my mom's daily driver for a couple years was just another 4 year old used car.... '59 Corvette, 2-4's and posi, and she had a heavy foot, black with silver coves...... top down whenever possible, loved getting dropped off at school in that one.....
