Rally II wheels for the '67 Grand Prix with front Disc Brakes?
I've got a set of four 15X6" JJ code, 5 on 5" rally wheels that I thought would fit on my 1967 Grand Prix..... They don't. Those big ass Delco Moraine dual-piston calipers don't let them get even close to mounting up.
Can someone tell me definitely what code Pontiac Rally II wheel WILL mount on those front disks? BTW, I've got a completely restored (professionally bead blasted and powder coated, masked and painted) set of JJ 5 on 5" wheels for a big Pontiac with drum brakes for sale in central Arizona...... Thanks, Hunter

I think I might have ones that will fit. It’s a 14 center on a 15 rim.
I have to check codes. Where are you located? |

Which part of AZ? My '67 GP has drums all the way around. I'll probably go with something bigger if I don't use my 8-lugs, but it might not hurt me to keep my options open.

Do what I did. Put 2 piston calipers on it and end the misery!

There were three different codes of the small center 15x6 5 on 5 Rally II's.
When first introduced there was a drum brake version & a disc brake version of this wheel. The JJ after the 15x6 denotes the drum brake outer rim.

Is it JY
I have 2 JJ’s and two JY’s and I noticed I slight difference between the two. |

Don't believe the later JY's will clear the factory '67-68 4 piston calipers either.
As SteveP alluded, if you want to run the 15x6's w oem pieces, you'll need to convert to single piston '69-70 Pontiac B series disc calipers, caliper brackets, & rotors.

I thought this was an early rim because of the 14 inch center and a 15in wheel

Would you trade the two JY's for a pair of JJ's? Mine are powder coated and the dark gray centers painted, ready to mount up.

Are JY’s going to work? Can you measure the backspace? I’ll measure the backspace on mine. I think jys have less backspace than JJ. Maybe a 1/2 inch or so…?
Also, I’m in Jersey so I think shipping would be expensive. |

If I knew for certain that they'd work, I'd do the deal, but it doesn't look like the JY is the answer either.

I found "loaded" spindles off of a '69 Bonneville Wagon at French Lake Auto Parts in Minnesota, the pair for $275 shipped. I bought them. Pretty sure that the rotors use a 5 on 4-3/4" bolt pattern. Not sure if my rotors will fit this setup, but there's a lot of "67-70" fitment information on various front disk brake parts.
Thanks for the input, I'll see what happens when I receive them!

Am glad FLAP could take care of you, they will be 5 on 5 bolt pattern. Hopefully the rotors are thick. They will be a dIfferent design rotors than your '67-68 4 piston disc design.

Isn’t 69 the hard to find rotors for year?

For me the '69/70 version of Pontiac B series rotor have been easier to find than the prev style.
The '69/70 version of B series rotor, though expensive, were also reproduced about a decade ago.

FLAP
Those guys are great and the price, with FedEx shipping is damned reasonable considering the weight. I found them on Ebay then googled them. Nice folks, great service.
