New to Forum (anyone tell me about these wheels?)
Hi folks,
I’m new to tho forum and don’t know a lot about pontiacs other than I had a 67 Tempest Custom in high school back in late 70s . Anyway, I have acquired these crazy looking 8 lug wheels, drums , center caps. So far I have researched some, to find these were on big cars. My question: I have a full set of what look like original wheels, drums, center caps. And also have full set of aftermarket new in box wheels, drums, center caps, rings . Is there a market for these now days? And could you possibly tell me what a fair price would be per set? Thanks in advance for any input. Hope this is posted on the correct spot and I’m not breathing any rules. |

depends on if they have enough liner material to run and if usable if a cut is made on them.Drums beyond there liner life and need to be relined are usually worth about $25 as cores.New caps and trim rings have a value.Tom

There's a reprint of an old article about 8 lug wheels on Fred Teufert's website that provides some useful information and should help you date your wheels: http://www.teufert.net/pontiac/8lug/8lug.htm. There are multiple pages, click on the 'next page' button at the bottom of each page.

I sold like three (3) of the rims a few years back for like $125. Think? they were fourteens? Personally think that their worth more, than that, but live in new mexico and it's cheaper here. I didn't have a full set. The Drums are where the value is. I'd research Ebay and other Big Car forums.
