Heater box the same?

Would anyone know if the under dash non A-C heater box from a 1969 Camaro is the same as the 1969 firebird? Dimensionally I would think they are the same but I am not sure about the various vent/doors for heat, defrost etc. I know I can get firebird cables for the box but will the cables work with the correct firebird control unit in the dash? Thanks much.
