Should be easy. Gas stoves are sealed better though and control the fresh air.
Of note, ONLY the Bark, on wood, makes Creosote. ( dry wood of course). Be sure to use the correct nozzles for the type of gas you burn. Propane nozzles are much smaller, runs at higher pressure. Use a regulator.

The pros say no. Only a wood burning fireplace can be converted.

I worked with a natural gas company and we installed a set in a customers stove. They never did work right. The draft coming in thru the stove would mess up the flame pattern and it constantly burned up the thermocouples. Save yourself the trouble and get one already designed with the logs in it

Is interesting to consider the design difference found in a gas fire valve with the safety thermocouple, and the design that includes the thermostat; turns itself on and off for a regulated heat.
Is interesting that some propane heaters/stoves don't "Require" a vent to go outside. Some do such as water heaters. The exhaust vent to go outside is not rocket science, yet wind does pose a design challenge when ya got no Chimney flow. |
