Default Spring Projects

1) new engine and dash harness

2) New Dakota Digital gauges

3) RobbMc fuel pump and fuel pickup/sending unit

4) new 1/2" fuel line, tank-to-pump. Custom line from Classic Tube.

5) possibly raise front with front coil spring spacers.

What do other folks have planned?

I may be finishing up a 4l80e install. The shop I had build the 4l80e didn't want to warranty a carry-out without their installation, so I obliged given a good quote for install labor. Sadly the car has been with them since October and is still not finished.

Outside of that project, the only thing I need to do is get my Lee Power Steering pump installed. Then drive the car as I typically do.

Depends on if I sell one of my other projects. Im working on my 43 MB to try to get it into a sweet spot of being nice enough to bring a decent price and make a nice start for someone else without costing me so much it negates the point of selling it.

If I manage to sell that, then Im leaning towards a gear vendors unit for the firebird. Im also considering taking out the engine to go to a better oil pan and having the headers coated. Both of those are items that I cheaped out on when putting the car together the first time.

Im also considering having the exhaust reworked slightly at the collector. I know a bit more about exhaust and power now and I think I am costing myself some power with the immediate step down from a 3.5 to 3" near the header. So I might buy some tubing that either steps down more gradually or simply have 3.5" tube for 18-24" after the header so the gasses are more diffuse by the time the step down comes.

Finish my Winter 2021 project! Building the engine has taken way longer than I thought it would due to parts shortages and shop backlogs. I naively figured I'd be back on the road by August of last year.

Need to fix a leaky rear main on the T/A. Might do a clutch while I'm in there, although I'm not sure it really needs it.

Dropping a nice 400 in our '67 Lemans. Get the factory cruise sorted out, which will be the last thing to make every option on this loaded car operational. Grab the boxed rear control arms and sway bar off of the (smashed) Tempest. Probably replace the whole front end steering, bushings and ball joints. Then drive, drive, drive.

Trying to fix the cracked inner fender i found in fall, fender and hood off, also small crack in rad support. One would think I was abusing it or something.
Also have some new rear suspension to install and if I get time I have some new bump stop steering arms to install. Hope we have a long spring, LOL.
