Is that including injectors? I’m looking for the same set up. Why did you go with that instead of the Holley sniper unit? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I will be going twin turbo and wanted the ability to tune each cylinder individually. Also the sniper won’t support the horsepower level I’m planning on.

The Holley regulators are pretty nice, work great:
https://www.holley.com/products/fuel...s/parts/12-848 The best way to have an EFI harness fit and be 'minimized' is to mod/make your own. Just have to be careful to make sure you use the proper type connector if you are making/adding sub-harnesses. Document everything, in detail, you will be glad you did later. HP ECU and up can take advantage of OE type PWM controllers, if you plan to have electric fans, you can leverage that option. Technically, you can also do the same for fuel pumps, etc. .

Yep that’s the plan… to have it run the electric fans, fuel pumps, two-step, and monitor all of the gauges. 👍

Fans are easier, it's generally based on temp, and varied by %. The controllers are available with the pigtail so you don't have to monkey with trying to patch one in, which is nice. I have the source for the mating plug too, if you're interested, they can at times be a challenge to find. I have to give credit where credit is due, Andrew70 helped me with the setup. He also I believe has completed the Terminator X Holley training, and is a great resource. I made some jumpers that I leave connected to batt, tucked behind the battery, that I can plug in when there may be an issue, like a controller going bad or something like that. It's a good thing to have in an emergency, when you're driving some back road or a little way from home. .

I have a trinary switch on the AC, and after X TPS, the compressor will shut out.
I also trigger the fan only when it's over X RPM, so it doesn't auto-on when you turn the key and the engine is not started. You don't want the fans on during cranking, it can rob voltage from where it's needed. .

Looks great. Any concerns over clearance to the firewall? Maybe an optical illusion, but rails look long in the back and really long in the front?

The fuel rail length will be trimmed. They aren’t finished with the intake yet. I just got excited and posted in progress pictures lol. The portion of the fuel bung that is protruding into the intake port still needs to be ground down as well. You can see it in one of the pictures

Still making progress. Parts list has updated a bit. I did spend a gagillion dollars on Fragola PTFE fittings and hose
-10 PTFE stainless fuel line in black. Part # 601529 https://www.jegs.com/i/Fragola-Perfo...01529/10002/-1 - 8 PTFE return in stainless black. Part # 606028 https://www.jegs.com/i/Fragola-Perfo...02028/10002/-1 I upgraded fuel pumps to a dual 450lph set-up from Holley. Part #12-173 https://www.holley.com/products/fuel...e/parts/12-173 Fuel filter is a Holley 460gph vr series billet in 10 micron. Part #162-575 https://www.holley.com/products/fuel.../parts/162-575 Fuel regulator is a high flow Aeromotive unit that will easily support the 900lph I’ll be running through it. Part # 13134 https://aeromotiveinc.com/product/ex...gulator-13134/ I plan to run E85 so I’m adding a flex fuel sensor. Normally a flex fuel sensor would be a restriction in the return line of a high horsepower build but Motion Raceworks makes an adapter to fixes that. It uses a GM sensor which is great. https://www.motionraceworks.com/prod...n-6an-8an-10an https://youtu.be/pjGU9ppTtXg

Great Thread, subscribed.
I really appreciate the details and pictures. My plan/dream is to FI my '71, and this will use a Formula hood, so intake, throttle body, etc. combination is going to be challenge. Look forward to updates, this has me inspired, and better aware of costs. Regards.

If any of you are thinking of running a coil near plug set-up on your Pontiac, I plan on having some coil brackets very similar to these made (big thank you to Erik W for the base design). I had a set cut out of steel but I’m thinking of having them done in billet aluminum. Since I’m going to have a set done for me, I figured I’d ask if anyone else is interested.
They only fit aftermarket fabricated valve covers and you need to use the large Holley/MSD style coils. The holes will be tapped and threaded. They will be super nice. If anyone is interested please let me know. *Coil brackets pictured on Erik’s motor

Those are nice. If I wasn't using GM coils I'd be interested for sure.

Tank and dual 450lph in-tank pumps are in (Part # 12-173). Just want to give everyone a heads up that they don’t just drop in to the Tanks Inc 70-73 F-Body 2.5 gallon tank. The tank was only about 6 1/2” deep and the shortest the Holley pumps would go was 7”. This was my mistake for not thinking of it. Funkhouser race cars built a sump for extra clearance and added additional baffling around the pickups.
