It seems there is lots of good information on 3rd generation Formulas (Formulae?) - here:
https://www.3rdgenformula.com/main_menu.htm Per the "87 history" section, it seems that the 4-way manual seat had some sort of availability issue, so less that, the NP5 leather group (possibly) and touch-control stereo - my departed 350 had every available option for a US-market car. Sigh. Compnine.com will show option breakdowns for Canadian Market (Z49) cars before 1990, generally. For example, there were only THREE Formulas that had the LB9 TPI 305 and 5spd - all were C41 (A/C delete) and the only one that was a hardtop was YELLOW. There were 655 Formulas shipped to Canada. The 350 was not available in Canada. |

If it was closer…. But it needs a lot of work.
Here’s a question- we have a 91 TA convertible. I believe they were all 305 automatic cars. Most of the Firebird convertibles I see are 305 cars with the ground effects. What was the benefit of the TA? I guess the wheels and suspension along with the TPI? |
