Beautiful car! I know where another one of the 914 sits, and it's a convertible survivor. |

[QUOTE=428ho4spd;6365418]Yes, that cover was likely added at some point. The smaller billing history card would tell us for sure if you can post that. They don't always highlight all of the options on those order forms.
Thanks again! I'll get a couple pics of the console tomorrow. Is the attached pic the "smaller billing history card" you mention? BTW, I do have the steel wheels on RWW tires and the full wheel cover s in addition tot he added Rally I wheels (including spare). |

Looks like a typo?
Your engine unit number says WW on the CBH, which doesn’t match the WV. Your ‘67 is a WV.

GTOh!,
Hate to be a pest. You have a unique GTO, so at your convenience would you furnish a nice clear photo of the block stamp showing the two letter code and numbers. Off course this is providing that you can see it (possible smog bracket interference). Thanks

What makes this car "unique" as you say in your post? I'm already fascinated with this car. For example, I am a long time Corvette enthusiast and have judged and inspected many, many C2's and early C3's. Chevrolet masked the engine stamp pad to allow VIN and engine derivative info to be stamped on a clean pad. Did Pontiac paint the area that's stamped or was this done in a re-paint of the engine on this example? |

Nice job with the mirror. I’ve used that technique many times.
The last two engine numbers were left off on the CBH card. You will see the full number stamped on the block as you did, plus it shows on the full number on the POP. I have posted my CBH card and my POP from the ‘67 WV I used to own. Pontiac painted the engine color over the engine stamp when new. The last photo is my WV when I had the engine out. You’ll notice what’s left of the Original white paper label which had a red WV stamped on it at one time.

Your engine stamp looks good. The last two digits are just part of the entire Engine Unit Number, it looks like 46 to me. I straightened your photo and cleaned it up a bit to read it easier. If you have your Protect-O-Plate, that entire EUN will be stamped on it. I'll attach a photos of mine for reference.
Pontiac did paint over that area when painting the engines. |

To the OP regarding his Hurst Equipped emblem: this emblem came with Hurst Wheels back in the day and many people installed it to their decklid after bolting on the new set of Hurst wheels. It really has nothing to do with the shifter, from what information I've run across. Your car is a knockout!

Great! Exactly right, that extra bulb socket would be for an auto shift car for the PRNDL illumination. Glad you got that figured out.
