Appreciate any help on ID on this knob. Scalloped around edge. IS this an early Bird Tach adjustment knob for clock? THX!

Thanks RANach! I assume this is what your 70 has?
If you or anyone knows what years this is correct for (?)

Yes it is one of two parts. I believe 70 only. Here's another thread with more info.

"For some reason it would not work on that tach." Yes as you found out the knobs are not interchangeable. The adj. stems are different for whatever reason. Found that out when I took the cluster apart for your tach bracket. When I boxed up the tach I thought I'd just put a chrome one on but it wouldn't fit. Tried the black one from my car and it fit. Until then I had just thought someone had lost the original and replaced it with something that fit. Then did a search and learned the black ones were correct earlier.

Trying to confirm if this is a 1970 clock. The shaft has full round threads as my other clocks here have a flat sides on the threads. The shaft also appears to have a longer shaft. It measures .950 from the clock face but I have nothing here to compare it to. There is also a 2040 stamped on the back.

Julian date is my guess
2040 - July 23, 1970

That clock knob was used on T/A's and Formulas 1970- 1972. That is a very hard part to find. I believe the 73's started the chrome knob.
