Default Cross member for a 1970 LeMans convertible and Tremec 5 speed

Has anyone put a Tremec 5 speed in a 1970 A-body convertible? What cross member did you use? Also, what shifter did you use with a console?

Do you know if the Tremec trans uses the Turbo 400 trans mount or the 4 speed manual trans mount?

A couple of pictures would help.

Haven't checked the trans mount yet, I think the TH400/Muncie will work. I'm looking for crossmember recommendations.

If memory serves, my stock TH350 trans mount worked. The Tremec supplied mount was too tall and would have required too much "massaging" of the trans tunnel for my likes. I put in my TH350 mount which ended up about 1/4" lower and provided the clearance I needed.

My car is an F-body but I ended up using my stock TH350 crossmember. I simply cut the trans mount tab off, sectioned about 5/8" off of the length of the tab I cut off and welded it to the back of the stock crossmember about 1/4" lower. Worked perfectly but if I was doing it again, I would probably put it 1/2" lower as that would allow me to shim the mount to whatever height I need it at to get the driveline angle correct. Either way, the price was right (free) and it only took about 45 mins to complete.
