Ross pistons and Eagle rods will handle way more than 600HP with proper block work and balance.

The thing I don't like 4.5 stroke is the oil ring spacer. My thought was to go to 4.375 to avoid the spacer. Another thought is; I really like over square engines and none of these combos achieve that.
Question: Does the 4.375 stroke avoid the spacer?

Is there an off the shelf piston for the 4.350 or 4.375?

My IA2 block has a 4.35 crank, 4.350 bore, 517 cid. The main thing I liked was the longer 6.8 rod over the 6.7 rods I think most of the 4.5 strokes use. I still had to use ring support on bottom of the oil rings. But main reason was I wanted to keep more of the piston in the bore at the bottom as opposed to a 4.5 stroke, plus the longevity with a shorter stroke. I got Ross Pistons, scat rods w2000 bolts and kit from Butler. I think pistons took 10 weeks to get at the time.

Why is this added ring support needed for strokes beyond 4.25?
Pic of rings with it and without to show the difference? |

Because the ring pack for oil rings go past into wristpin bore
