This 80mm Turbo 6.0 LS engine in a 2nd gen camaro runs 8.90's/152 mph at over 23 psi with the FiTech 1200 PA system, with the stock injectors that comes with the unit.

I never understood how a carburetor could make more hp than 8 injectors (80lbs) thru jets and sqirters . ... I currently have the fitech 1200 on e85 and they tell me that it’s good for about 850 hp .. my boost is set at 12 # and is probably maxed out ..

I'd say one problem with EFI is that the injector can't open/close quick enough to feed the cyl. without a very expensive setup?
(or more than one per cyl) MFI works great but usually at full throttle. If doing idling and cruising the nozzles/main pill would probably not be optimum. (there are extra setups/circuits that can be added to make it work)

I have been playing with the Borgwarner Matchbot, switching between different turbo's to see the difference's. I am a complete novice when it comes to reading compressor maps, but after looking at the S475 map, S480 map, and this 14009097010 Supercore 80mm map, it looks like it would be the better turbo for sure to my eyes, at least going by efficiency, not sure about spool difference. All three turbo's I entered with the 96 turbine with the 1.32ar housing. What do you see from looking at the following screen shots, does it look like a great turbo for the street to you? Looks like to me it would be fairly efficient at 8-10 lbs of boost, as well as 15+ if I wanted to crank it up a bit, unless I'm reading it wrong, because like I said earlier, I'm a novice at reading compressor maps. I was originally thinking about the S480, but I believe the Supercore 80mm 14009097010 turbo would be the better choice.

Anyone have any experience with the billet S400SX-E 80mm Supercore 14009097010 turbo I mentioned above?

Here's our 78 Camaro 6.0ls 80mm turbo w 5" down pipe to dual 3" exhaust. It fits. It's tight, but it fits

I had a 5" downpipe on mine to the rear of the transmission then I necked it down to 4" on out to the bumper. I have no A/C box and built my own filter relocation adapter with the lines angled forward so no oil filter adapter in the stock spot. Had plenty of room and I changed plugs from the top just fine. Now I have a fender exit but probably will put the full exhaust back on. I just want to split the 5" into dual 3.5"s or two 4"s when I do instead of one 4". This is an old picture and the only one that I have I think. I'll post a picture of the adapter I made when later tonight.
