Distributor question
I was cleaning up an original distributor and was wondering what this little rubber bushing does thanks

Advance limiter bushing
It's for limiting how much MECHANICAL advance the distributor will achieve.
Most of the aftermarket advance kits have a replacement bushing made out of brass. |

Forgot to mention
That's really a lot of grease.
Normally there is only grease on the outside of the mainshaft and the inside of the breaker cam assembly. I don't know if it would make a difference, but it could sling grease all over the inside of the cap it there is too much. Good luck! |
