1962 fuel filler neck
Are these reproduced, or can be adapted from something like a pickup truck filler neck?
Or is used the only option? (anyone have an extra they'd sell me?)

Interesting, the people at Frank’s Pontiac parts told me the 61 bonneville filler neck they had was different than the 62. Seemed strange considering the tanks are the same and body very similar..’ maybe one was just bent.

Your thread said you had a Catalina which is different than a Bonneville

Right, but it says all except station wagon so it seems like there’s no difference?

From my 1961 parts catalog, the filler neck is p/n 538980. It says the part fits all 1961 Catalinas and Venturas except station wagons. The 23 in 8Lug's post refers to Catalinas, which were series 23. The 29 refers to Grand Prixs in 1962, which were series 29.
1961 Catalinas and Venturas, and 1962 Catalinas and Grand Prixs, were more or less identical under the skin, so that filler neck will fit on those models from either year. 1961 and 1962 Star Chiefs and Bonnevilles were based on the longer wheelbase chassis, and they used a different part number filler neck 538981. |
