Reproduction T3 Headlights by Lectric Limited
Just read an older thread about the new reproduction T3 replacements by Lectric Limited with updated bulbs that meet current federal lighting standards. They look good for my mostly original car and are not expensive for the set of 4 ($149). Anyone have these and can comment on exactly how bright they are compared to OEM/halogen/LED?

I have a set of the Lectric Limiteds - they look like OEM T-3 but are Halogen bulbs. I believe if i'm not mistaken that Wagner actually is the manufacturer. I'm happy with them, but they're definitely not as bright as a LED, but definitely brighter than OEM.

Sine they are halogen bulbs, are you using a relay or fine as is (i.e. plug and play)?

No need for a relay, just replace.

Would they not be brighter with the relays?
I was reading an article recently about just adding a relay with direct battery power to the standard sealed beam lights. When you apply direct battery instead of the power flowing to the switch and coming back that can increase luminescence. I would think the same would apply to halogens. Oddly that Lectric Limited set linked says it doesnt fit my 67? Which I think is a typo. I dont see why it would fit a 4 headlight 68-72 but not a 67. I had been looking at Hella housings off of Summit and then some generic halogen bulbs. Im afraid to drive my car at night with the terrible OEM lights here in deer country.

The design of the T3 triangle is different. Otherwise they are the same.

They'll fit. It's mostly the T-3 logo. 60-67 if you want 100% correct, 68-72 have ribs inside triangle.

FWIW...Lectric Limited said the sealed beams are not halogen bulbs (no relays required - their words), but could not comment on brightness compared to OEM/halogen/LED or provide a lumen/candela value.

Vckline313 , did you have to modify your original headlight buckets for the leds ?

I'll have to do some digging. I'll pull one back out... I seem to recollect the back of mine was stamped as a Wagner Halogen.

My bulbs do seem brighter compared to the ones I took out which I think were the oem bulbs. Thanks Bob.
