Maybe if they were like Pawn Stars, admitted they don't know nuttin' and brought in experts that are lurking in the side shadows. Ahhh, maybe not.

Obviously not 100% factual but nice to see a Pontiac in the spotlight. Dennis is a class act and Tom is a major BSer

I learned a long time ago, that sometimes you just have to smile and nod when someone is spewing garbage;
I try to almost never contradict someone when they are telling their tale, because that stifles conversations and can prevent a friendship - which may include opportunity to straighten out the facts - but if you're not friends with a guy (or in his sphere of influence) trying to correct him will always have negative repercussions... some thing that I have learned the hard way too many times. There WAS ALOT of nonsense in that video; The worst in my opinion was how Dennis(?) told this gent that he had multiple sets of round port heads, because at that point in the video, you knew that he was talking out of his corn hole - I am sure he was referencing the 1969 GTO stash of parts he got, all of which were D-port heads. This guy (Dennis?), as much as he might puff himself up at times, seems like a nice enough guy - he sure finds some curious stuff. I would have considered that GTO haul to be the score of a lifetime. Misinforamtion aside, I have seen alot worse videos - of people who were a whole lot more full of themselves than Dennis is.

As for the GTO haul that Dennis aquired in his video, I passed on the two cars and parts in july 2020 due to the fact that I had too many projects already and the amount of rust on the two cars. Also, the owner only wanted $3500 for everything over the phone......but when I arrived the price had gone up to $15,000.
I did not go home empty handed though, I bought all of his NOS parts which filled my truck bed and a mini van. Lots of R.A. II, III, IV and 455 H.O. stuff in the lot. |

I’m curious what it sold for. It’s pretty rough but I imagine a ‘72 4 speed car is still going to bring decent money

Couldn't watch it. Did the guy respond to any question with an answer or just keep going off track with unrelated stories. Yes, it's great to keep mentioning details that show your vast knowledge but it wasn't what was asked.

The BS doesn't stop. Now the ad says the unoriginal engine makes the car worth more.
Quote directly from the ad: "The original engine is gone, but the replacement is the Famous '71 455HO that featured Round Port 197 Heads and a Factory Aluminum Intake manifold. Quite honestly, it is more desirable than the original engine." Gimme a friggin' break already...

RAMC has put out some questionable things recently. OTOH, right now , they have three '74 SD cars up for auction on ebay. One restored, one survivor and one somewhere in between.
