Voodoo 702, Pypes Race Pro sound clip
I threw together an engine I had laying around last weekend & dropped it in my '67 bird. A buddy got some good audio of it running so I thought that I would upload a video for anyone wanting to know what the 702 cam sounded like.
The build: 9.5:1 400+.030 16 heads (1968 large valve) 72cc Icon 14cc forged dish pistons Scat H-beam rods Factory crank .020/.020 Fitech 1200PA EFI HSD intake Lunati Voodoo 702 cam Hooker Competition Headers 4902HKR Pypes "3 rear 1/4 exit Race Pro mufflers https://youtu.be/VJm4bGcg1bI

Cool, thanks for the clip. Ive been thinking aboit those mufflers. I'm re-building the exhaust on my Firebird. Was settled on the welded Ultra Flows, but maybe the Race Pros.

I ran the RacePro's and the Dynomax Super Turbos under this car and went back to the Pypes mufflers for a more aggressive sound. The turbos sounded good and were quieter. The Race Pros were louder with more rumble. Not so loud as to be annoying. Both sound good, don't drone, and tuck under the car pretty well. If you get down to the Ocala area you're welcome to take a listen.

the main reason i went with race pros over the ultra flows was the price & the race pros are not as thick so can tuck up better, its not much, i think 1/4 to 1/2". been 5+ years with them & they still look like new. some hate them, some love them, which is the case with most anything. |
