Well that's news to me. Their contact info lists 7235 E second street in Prescott Valley, literally 10 minutes from me. I drive by that building nearly every day, sometimes 3-4 times a day. It's located right behind ACE Hardware and is a building with no name on it. Last I remember seeing, it had a "lease" sign in the front parking lot not that long ago.
I'll be driving by there again tomorrow, now I'm going to have to pay closer attention to it LOL |

They used to be located in Northern Illinois but moved to 7235 E Second St, Suite A, Prescott Valley , AZ 86314.
I purchased an engine from Butler Performance, it included D Port RARE manifolds. The RARE manifolds were bare metal and I wanted them ceramic coated so they wouldn't rust. Last October I called and talked to Paul, said I live in Illinois and will drop them off. Paul said they moved to Arizona because it was more tax and climate friendly. It took about 2 1/2 weeks to for turn around including ground shipping. They look and fit great. Good product, not cheap but worth it in my mind. |

I talked to my wife at lunch who drives by there twice a day. She said she has seen activity at the building, with a semi backing in once in a while. Still no sign on the building as to what it is though.

No response from my recent emails. Last email I got in August 2020 said that I would be added to the list for long branch round ports. No idea how many others are on that list or where I stand.
I think Paul is shubhampaul here on the forums.

Paul at RARE responded to one of my emails recently which was just asking for an ETA update. He said it would be another month, to which I replied asking for a more concrete estimate (since I've been told it will be just another month for numerous months), and I didn't hear anything back.
It's not their fault that they can't get orders shipped, so I don't hold it against them. Still very frustrating, though. But if you want an update, it seems you have to call RARE rather than email. On a related note, I saw that Summit had some Doug's headers in stock this morning, which have been out of stock for a while, so I ordered them and may end up canceling my order with RARE. I'd like to use the oversized RARE manifolds, but I can't have my project get delayed for an unknown amount of time.

Drove by this morning. Half the building is an upholstery shop and the other half isn't labeled with anything.
The upholstery shop is open with the owners car in the driveway. It wasn't till later when I drove by again around 10am that a truck was parked on the other end of the building No clue if he's there or open. For what it's worth though, I've bought several exhaust items from RARE and have always been happy with the quality. Sure would be nice to know if he's actually there for business. Would be nice to stop in for parts. |

ZeGermanHam I did the same as you after my 2 year wait for round port RARE manifolds. Ordered Doug's from Summit on a Friday afternoon and they were here on Sunday!

Yeah, such is life. How did the Doug's fit in your '67? One of the things I was hoping to avoid by using manifolds rather than headers is fitment problems and also low ground clearance. My old 3-tube headers (no idea what brand) used to bounce off the pavement every once in a while, but that was probably due in large part to my shocks being completely toast.

Have to do it yet. Will take some photos. Body is off chassis and I need to mark up where the O2 bung will go for my FITECH system. Been busy with a number of non car things if you can imagine!

Good to know, I guess he is out here then.
Strange that no one around the community has mentioned it. I'm pretty involved in and around the car culture here which is pretty big in AZ, and I haven't had any discussions about a restoration parts supplier moving into PV. There are plenty of them in Phoenix, not so much up here in Prescott Valley though. |

I got mine from OPG. 2-1/2" D ports. Never an issue at all in the 11 or 12 years since l installed them. Looks like they are out of the LH ones also. Coincidence?... Or are they the same ones that RARE is selling?
By the way, I did see that The Parts Place lists round ports. https://www.thepartsplaceinc.com/pro...lange-pr/96640 Sent from my moto g stylus (2021) using Tapatalk

I've seen a couple different brands I think the ram air restorations versions might have a little bit better ports but really you're splitting hairs and I don't know how much you'd actually see on a Dyno overall quality was good though

The ones from ram Air restorations I used were the oversized round port a body manifolds I ported them on a highly modified 470 cubic inch Pontiac I built and made 568 horsepower and 588 ft pounds of torque, it was down 20 horsepower from long tube around Port headers

Peak or average? Either way, that's noticeable. As for how much it matters, it will depend on the user/car in question.
