Hemmings 468 build
June '21 issue of Hemmings Muscle Machines has a pump gas 468 build. 400 stroker with 850 Holley, Rpm manifold, Ehead round ports, & roller cam. They put some nice parts into it and made 547hp/635tq. REALLY nice write up and obviously a great street engine. Very nice to see a Pontiac engine build getting some ink.

Nice torque numbers, but I would expect a tad more hp unless they went conservative on the roller?

Yea, cam was on the small side, 240/248 with .547/.544 lift iirc. I think the rockers were only 1.52 Still a nice build.

Pump gas, 3650 lbs. race weight. 10.68 @ 126 so far... no tuning yet. |
