My 16.7 C.I. Pontiac
1/24th scale that is.. haha
Since I am currently in an apartment and the Bird is in storage. I dont really get a chance to work on the car. So when I found a 68 Firebird 1/24 scale model that I bought years ago and didnt build, I thought, why not build the model how I want to build my real car. So I started to go a little crazy with the detail, but Im happy with out its turning out.

Works out to .0289cu in.
Nice work. I have a bunch I want to build, but I don't know when I'll get to them. I'm hoping for an AAR resin for the new Revell Cuda. I'm also waiting on Aoshima to release their 240RS, which is supposed to be this month.

I dig models, so this is cool I have a 72 bird model (assembled by someone else, with like a red engine etc) I need to take apart and rebuild, a challenge. Someday. Probably easier to pony up and buy the 100 buck vintage kit when they occasionally pop up for sale.

Surprised no one has given you grief yet for using the "cheap inferior FRAM" oil filter instead of an "approved" AC Oil Filter!
At least it's an easy grip filter! |

Yessir, years ago I was gifted earlier version of that model for a birthday. One I had was the white w blue stripe TA on the box, working suspension w metal coil springs, and metal cast honeycomb wheels, etc.

Models can be fun. Two freeze plugs per side. Looks like a 389/421 in that '68 bird.

you could end up trashing parts that you wouldnt be able to find in another kit. Here is a 70 that you could probably modify or find parts for online http://www.amazon.com/Revell-24-70-P.../dp/B000ILIUPI

With all the quarantine and covid stuff, I started picking up old hobbies (cheaper than the real car haha)

I too have been going back to the models. I just haven't gotten too far, need to build the car now Facebook had an excellent model build-off with some outstanding builds. This is what got me interested again.
