Default Cloned SD setup for my Catalina.

Not sure how many know this but John Reeder has retired. About March of this year I purchased a Complete 62 SD 2X4 Setup from him. It included EVERYTHING! Intake, Thermostat Housing, All Fuel Lines, Linkage, Carb Gaskets & Spacers & of course his Cloned SD Carbs from Buick Castings. Since my 62 is NOT going to be a SD Clone I wanted to keep my Power Brakes & possibly even my original distributor with vacuum advance so John even added vacuum ports & fittings for that. I don't know how many 62-63 setups John has left - once his stock is depleted there are no more. If you're sitting on the fence about getting one of his SD intake setups I wouldn't wait too long. He does Excellent Work! He even jetted the carbs down to work on my 60 over 389. My Plain Jain engine compartment will have some Bling. My wife wasn't too happy about me bringing the motor inside the house to assemble it though. I can't imagine why.

Thanks for sharing,

Terry thank you very much for the compliment. I guess you could say I'm retired as far as taking work in but I plan to keep doing the setups I already have components for, which as I recall are two 409s, two 427 Fords, one crossram Mopar, and probably seven or eight Pontiac SD. I have nine jobs on my bench right now and I feel bad that it is taking me so long to get them done so just do not want to take any more orders until they are out of here. My lathe (that I make linkage components with) went down and I've had a heck of a time repairing it - never took a lathe apart before - and that is holding me up.

I'm really happy you like your setup I put a lot of effort into them.

First Sergeants are a lot like that.

Sunday afternoon in the winter of '67, Air Force Base in Oklahoma, my roommate Bob and I are overhauling his '57 Chevy 3 speed in our room in the barracks. Sarge walks in and threw a fit. Good thing he didn't open the wall locker that had all the stainless in it.
