WTB - 1970 Pontiac 400 WS block / January or February date code?
Recently picked up an early (Van Nuys) Lucerne Blue 1970 T/A 4 spd., built second week of April, missing it's engine. Looking for a WS short block with casting 9799914. I'm guessing a January or February date code would be correct? I have the heads (A080 / A060) and intake (B170). If you have one, please let me know. While it won't be matching number, it would be nice to put the correct block in her. I realize a WS is correct for this T/A but I figured it might be near impossible to find one. Willing to pay for the right block. Preferably one that hasn't been rebuilt or had water down it. Is this unobtanium?
