Congrats on the engine's performance so far. The first thing we did when we bought a new Superflow SF-901 in 1998 was take off the hydraulic throttle control and throw it in a box never to be seen or used again. It wouldn't work right on a Q-jet either. Not enough travel. Single Holley 4bbl. is the only thing it works right on out of the box. 22 years later, and I see they never corrected the issues. They sell a retrofit kit to cable operation or you can make it yourself. Best of luck the rest of the dyno session.

Since I and I am sure others are not on FaceBook. Could someone post that information here?

I wonder what fuel was used or maybe an instrument issue. Less than 210 lbs/hour of fuel at peak power.. BSFC in the .2xx

The selector knob on the dyno for fuel turbines is in the wrong position. The numbers are half what they should be.Someone is not paying attention.Bill C.

Generally the A and B channels are pretty close to each other. For this case let double both.
215.1 * 2 = 430.2 lbs/hr 0.252 * 2 = 0.504 BSFC Engine Size = 535.021 ci Dyno Barometric Pressure = 29.0 - Dyno Vapor Pressure = 0.05 - Dyno Air Temperature = 75.0 STP - SAE J607 Correction Factor = 1.0483 _______STPPwr__STPTrq___BMEP_____Fuel___BSFC__UnCo rr__UnCorr_UnCorr_Correct___A/F______Air_ __RPM____CHP___Clb-ft____PSI___lbs/hr__lb/hph___HP____Torque___BMEP__Factor__Ratio____SCFM__ __VE% _7400___904.6___642.0__181.0___430.20__.5040___853 .6___605.8__170.8__1.0597__12.75__1197.6__111.2 Stan

Is the BSFC essentailly an indicator of efficiency? If a BSFC is out of whack should one go back to the drawing board? |

BSFC.Is a measurement of Pounds of fuel per Horsepower Hour.It shows how efficiently an engine is performing. For example well refined race engines will be mid to high 30s to low 40s.A Q-Jet on a dual plane will be high 40s to low .50s..Bill C.

What's up with the 30hp jump after it peaked and started to fall off 🤷*♂️

John ,Are you talking about the last line on the posted dyno sheet where it dumped 30HP?

No where it peaked at like 885 then dropped off to 870 then jumped up in hp and tq to get to 900. I've only seen that one other time.
