Default Anything negative about Summit Cam and lifter kits?

I need a new cam and am thinking about Summit's own cam and lifter kit. This will be used going to shows mainly. 1966 LeMans 326 HO 4 speed 2 1/2" pipes.

I bought a budget one for my trail beater 304 CJ5 as the orig cam went flat several years ago, still doing fine.

it's probably a good idea to buy better lifters. i've had one go bad, cam showed little wear, lifter was toast. Buy American.

I have a 2801 in the 400 in the 81. Degreed right on the button. Has the sound and power of a 068.

2801 here as well but run the Melling JB951 lifters as they have the cast iron faces or maybe I am incorrect as Truman Fields calls them "iron chilled?"

I just put one in a BBC, haven't done anything but break it in, but so far seems fine.

I've used 15 - 20 of both the 2801 and 2802 cams and lifters. Never had a problem.

I've got a 2801 cam/lifter set in my 400. No problems at all.

I know it's been mentioned Summit's parts suppliers can change over time. I bought and installed the cam about 7 years ago. Not sure if they're still using the same specific suppliers for these sets today?
