It must have about most every other option available besides those 2 then.
Almost $6400 is a steep MSRP even on a SuperDuty with AC Spill the Beans on that Invoice ! Monk King is a cool place to come from. They sold lots of HiPo Poncho and had a race team. PY member supcarbob was involved there, and they still have a lot of dealer paperwork on the cars, etc.. Congrats PS- fwiw- you have to let these engines warm up good before you go revving on them - or you can blow the oil filter loose. Messy and Scary And don't run any oil above 10/w30 unless it really really needs it. Creates even more chance on the oil filter deal. Make sure oil filter is a little 'extra tight' every time with 10/w30 and all is well after warmed up. They also run even better with recalibrated carb rebuild parts/advice from Cliff R. Thanks Mr Zep, yes and no,it does have a lot of options, expect trunk pop, defog, 8track and no bird, the honeys where added, really came with rallies. At least I’m able to drive it now, I’m stuck on waiting for my radio to come back from being converted and trying to dry fit a/c unit on over the heads that have girdles, if I can’t get it on I’ll have to take them out. I’ll post phs later

Best can recall the trans dipstick tube is natural.
Like aluminized steel or galvanized steel. Thanks for sharing the Invoice. Its loaded up pretty well with nice stuff. Was just a caution on the oil stuff - they don't pop off oil filters all the time. But it's an 80 psi oil pump in these, and they pump really hard when oil is cold. I blew the oil filter loose on my 73SD after the first oil change i did on it. Didn't let it warm up enough before revving it some to test some other adjustments. Was sitting still - in the carport - when it happened. Scary and Messy , learned my lesson , never happened again. And i drove it hard plenty of times, at full operating temp. No worries Another guy i know did it too, but he had used 10/w40 thinking it was a good idea for summer running. |

I've used 10-40 since mine was new. Driving only in warmer weather, May- October. Seen 6200 couple of times. Though I usually shift around 5400. Used,GM filters, Lee maxi, then Fram HPs. Now NAPA gold.Never regular Frams.

What does the clip look like that attaches the oil dipstick tube
to the upper a/c bracket? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

From 73 Assembly Manual:
Basically the bracket is horizontal on SD and vertical on regular Pontiac. (plus on different AC bracket.)

Yes but I believe there’s a clip that goes on here so you can screw the oil tube to the ac bracket

The AC bracket is threaded so no clip. (like the standard one does)

Yes, I worded that weird.
SD AC bracket was threaded. The standard setup had no hole in that bracket and the rear bracket had a clip for the tubing.
