Not very good. I knew my back up engine was on its last leg. The block was cracked up the #2 main. The aluminum rods had about 750 passes on them but was hoping it would make through the weekend. It didn’t. I broke a rod 3rd round of the gamblers/warmup race on Friday. I was feeling pretty good about it. The car ran 5 6.12’s in a row. My worst light was an .018. The round before I was .002 dead on with a 7. I really didn’t think it broke the engine. I drove it back to the trailer. Thank god for diapers. Time to rebuild for next year.

The only plan I have at this point is to put my IA2 engine back together the same size it already is. I believe all it's going to need is a good cleaning, a new set of rods, a piston, and possibly a valve or two. Hopefully it makes it all season and I won't need a backup engine.
