Great video, George. Where did you get the time to make the video and run your car? Jim

George, when you retire from racing, you can become the official videographer for the Pontiac Nationals. Nice job with the video, but I got to ask you, who edited it all, you or the Mrs? The oldies music was great!!!
Sorry to hear that you transmission gave up, congrats on making your first 7 second run. I think you were the last person I talked to before we started home. The damn mini sprint car Go kart was giving me fits stalling, so we decided to head home. I found out when I got home that when I added a section of metal fuel line, it got enough heat from the engine that it vapor locked. My plan is to take out the worn out Tecumseh, and re power it with a Chi Com clone next year. Also we lost a side board on the top wing while trailering it to the motel Saturday night, gonna re-make the wing out of something more durable than old fiberglass boat parts......LOL |

thank you for making and sharing that video George!
From the one time I attended (I raced in the FWD class), I know that there is so much going on, you simply cannot take it all in - so you actually showed me the types of cars I might have not stopped to look at if I was there! @ Jack Gifford - what's the deal/story with your car - it seems the most unique of the lot.

The lakester is meant for landspeed racing, not drags. But since it's Pontiac-powered and needs some testing, I was allowed to display it and run it down the track. A big THANK YOU to the Woodruffs and everyone who lent a hand- and to all the fans who stopped to chat.

I like that you say "next year" in this post. You have mentioned this being your "last year" to go to Norwalk. Keep racing and running your car as long as it's fun and you are able.
