What does it weight? Traction is the key.

60 Foot ET = 1.9723
330 Foot ET = 5.0236
1/8 Mile ET = 7.5497
1/8 Mile MPH = 97.5977
1000 Foot ET = 9.7368
1/4 Mile ET = 11.6006
1/4 Mile MPH = 121.3723

LOL... What? I went that fast with a smaller engine, less gear, and close to 100 fewer horsepower.

Of course everything will depend on how it's driven, how it's tuned, and whether he can get any traction but the potential for low 11s, at least, is certainly there.

Have you ever had a 11 second car to judge from?
If it's the Goat in your picture your not getting to 11s with 625 ft lbs on those rear tires my friend!

No expert here but I think easy high 11s with a good tire. I'm real interested to hear what it does.

Well you have the power to run certainly run 11s, I hope the Trans holds up for you with that torque level.
Was the car originally a 455 with a 12 bolt I hpoe?

The manual trans is the X factor. Theoretically you have enough power to go high 11s, but it will depend on your 60'. What is your first gear?

there is 2 facotrs, traction, and the stick shift. My friend takes his stick car to the track ( he sucks ) and runs a high 12.9x with his 2000 trans am, I took a pass 12.29.
I am sure there are guys that can run a bit lower than I did.
I would think a high 11 should be possible.

I haven't ran it cuz it's got a stock m20 my m23 is almost done ..2.56 first gear ..I know sticky tires and stock m20 wit 600ft lbs torque it's will granade the 4 speed lol ..I know auto would defiantly be better but it's a legit street car and the fun factor of the 4 speed is priceless to me

With over 600 fl lbs, you should go mid 11s easy, thats based on a good 60 ft time.

When I was 18...a long time ago, I'm 52.
My 428CJ 2x4 low riser intake Torino GT.. (I still have it) ...would turn ~14.5+ sec/2.1+ 60", 1/4 passes, 4.56 gear, 26.X" bias 245/60 tires.
Added 29.0 M/T ET drag slicks.
Best 12.56/1.58 60'....no other changes! Still was slightly over geared on the top end. Never really worked to go quicker. Stock suspension with slapper bars.
Stock Heads, 280/290 adv duration cam (dont recall 0 .050" #, .510 .536 lift,original rhoads lifters.~3850# Stock converter C6.
Not a big tq/hp motor like yours.

60' times (traction) are critical for a good ET, get your work done early!
With traction comes weak link/s breakage!

I believe there is an app out there that will time your ET.

I feel You got plenty of power to get into the 11's easily.Applying it well is the challenge.

lol...pretty funny...

GTO has 11 second potential with that much hp and torque. Like others said, all depends on the short time. Then once you get the clutch release, off the line technique down, and the car is hooked up, 11s no problem. On my cars, that is about then is when the gremlins start occurring getting fuel pumped up to the engine. Had a 4000 lbs street car with 560hp, 12.37 @ 111. Engine cut out becuase of fuel issues. With the fuel problem sorted out mid to low elevens. Never noticed the fuel problem on the street. Judging by the other rides mentioned, you should not have any problems finding your way into the 11s. Jay

It has the potential to be an 11 second car but there are factors at play. It's going to depend on how well the car hooks and 60 foots, how well you can drive a stick car, and the weather conditions that day and what the typical DA is that you deal with where you live.

My fathers 69 GTO started out with a mild 463 combo that made just over 500 HP and 604 ft lbs. of torque. A 10" Continental converter and 3.73 gears, running a 28" tall drag radial and full street trim, full exhaust etc... Basically a street car on pump gas that he drove everyplace. It scaled almost at 4,000 lbs. with him in it. The car had no issues running mid 11's at 115 mph in the summer heat with DA's in the 3500 ft range.

What does the fuel system consist of? Also what exhaust? Should run 11's.
