It is known as being Polite, as as bluegoat65 was in his post.
I was also polite in my reply. I did not post about racing, I posted a response to a apology.
leave it at that.

Don't think Chief can dominate No Prep Kings like he did on Street Outlaws. At least a un prepped track is far better than that industrial park where they race. You can walk on a NHRA starting line before they ever prep it and your shoes stick to it when you walk. Once they prep it its hard to even move around.
Whats Chiefs HP , 2200 maybe. There are guys with 4000 on no prep.
I want Chief to win but the street brings oute the superior driver in him. It shows up to his advantage.
Beat many a Pro Mod on his turf.
Chief is down on power compared to the hemis and junk chevys hence the need for better flowing heads and bigger engine (to keep up with the Jones’) per-say!
As for Street outlaws being canceled I can’t find anything on it......sounds like a rumor started from the rumor starter....Gach! LOL!

For the SLOW LEARNERS like George, and CHIEF of the 60s, etc.

I said I will not post about RACE subjects.

That does not mean that I will not post congratulations to Langer, Jack, Kinsler, and others who achieve a Personal accomplishment.

That does not mean I will not accept an Apology from a member of the PY Board.

That does not mean that I have gone away. Far from it. I still read about the accomplishments of members, etc and previously have posted congrats on their successes.

So quit wasting your time trying to build a fence around the Race Section when I still have lots of friends like Kelvin Poe and others who race.

That is about as simple as I can make it for YOU: George and others.

Tom V.

When I went looking around the web it looks like maybe Chief has a significant business interest in the whole Outlaw series. If he's that high up on the business side I'd be curious as to where and when he'd race.
The OKC show had sorta run it's course, no out of town races, cash days, same guys, etc...
Sure like to know the whole story, he did get them on the map and the series has taken off.
As for the no prep kings, it's a little boring to watch but it'd take forever to have more pit interviews, car builds and drama between drivers, and get 32 cars through a race. It beats watching NHRA though.

Everyone's opinion is always a bit different of course, but my wife and I enjoy the no prep kings series more than the normal series, simply because it's more racing.

We attended the Bandimere event live and I can say it was the most fun I had at the drag strip in a long time. There's always something going on, they don't just leave the track dead between heats. The place was packed as well. Easily the biggest crowd draw I've seen there besides Mile High Nationals.

My favorite is JJ's show, real stuff, my friends were on it, and JJ is a good dude despite what some think. The show is edited. They seem to only show them winning races not the one they lose.
He is now going all around the country racing all street racers. I have been to a few airport races. The close the runway, real slick surface, and have legal cash days. I am going to 2 so far this year. Real people, real cars, not 2500000+ race cars.
I will say, I would watch any Street outlaw show over any other show on TV. Racing is better than no racing. The drama crap draws in the the people not so into cars, kids, wives....

Them CVs which havn't proven nu-thin won't get him where he needs to be.
List all the guys who have put 40lbs boost and twin turbos on, lived and made big power ????????

He has got the money to call LSM and carve out a billet Pontiac with hemi mains. Top it with some of the 520cfm billet RAVs like 3fast is doing.
Can't wait to hear how that 69GTO funny runs.
At least run some of the billet RAVs on the solid IA2 and see how it does.
Chief is at a power disadvantage with the E heads on a track and a few hundred more ponies with CVs will only help so much against 4000HP Hemis and 481Xs.
At least he would keep the PMD bore spacing so you could still call it a PONTIAC.

Yep he probably needs a set of Warps or Visners or DCI’s RA5 heads (all 3 of the heads will go 520 or more) but anything is better then what he has now!

Don't know how much has changed. This is from the 2017 rule book.

Quote:
SECTION 5 - NHRA J&A SERVICE PRO MOD DRAG RACING SERIES DESIGNATION PM, preceded by car number. Classes of competition within Pro

Minimum weight at the conclusion of run, including driver:
Nitrous-assisted entries (910 cid) - 2,475 pounds
Supercharged entries (526 cid) - 2,600 pounds
Turbocharged entries (526 cid) - 2,650 pounds

CYLINDER HEADS
Hemi, canted-valve, or wedge heads permitted. Billet heads permitted. Maximum one spark plug per cylinder. Maximum supercharged valve sizes: intake 2.400 inches; exhaust 1.900 inches. Maximum turbocharged valve sizes: intake 2.450 inches; exhaust 1.900 inches.

ENGINE
Internal-combustion, reciprocating, single-camshaft, 90-degree V-8 automotive-type engine mandatory. Crankshaft centerline must intersect cylinder bore centerlines and be symmetrical. Nitrous assisted entries are limited to a maximum bore center of 5.300. Turbocharged and supercharged entries are limited to a maximum bore center of 4.800. For supercharged entries, a positive method (flange, lip, etc.) must be attached to the intake manifold or engine block to retain both the front and rear manifold to block gaskets in the event the engine crankcase/lifter valley becomes over-pressurized. The flange/lip must extend past the surface of the gasket and be contoured to closely fit the block and manifold surfaces to prevent the gasket(s) from extruding. See General Regulations 1:2.
While it is some, the Pontiac is not giving up as much on bore spacing as you would think if Turbocharged or supercharged.
