Maybe make a pass down a drag strip in 2019. Went to Atco once this year and only spectated for the last BOP race. Figure out if I want to get the Firebird going again.

Personal goal is to leave this life sucking, soul crushing job of mine and start my own business.

Got a few things I want to make happen. Finish the addition on my new garage since I didn't make it big enough to begin with. Sell my C6 Corvette sometime in the spring and find a 4 speed 62 cat, finish putting my 67 GTO back together (again), spend more time getting in shape for some extreme hiking/climbing in Alaska later in the year.

Well, the Dual-Plane is on now, with the 1050 & Spacer. Drives around the same as the hogged-out Torker I.

New Resolution; Put a Q-JET on and get it to run well.

After today’s first hand experiences, I do have a resolution.

Be more tolerant of ignorant Millennials, who don’t know how to follow what road signs say. It’s like the, yield, stop, no turn on red, no parking in fire lane, handicapped parking only, Employee of the month parking only, Mothers with infant parking only. Signs do not exist to them. Neither do parking space lines. Neither does turning your headlights on when it’s dark out. I cannot for the life of me understand how they passed the drivers test. I experienced at least 4 of these things just today.

give the Gp a good going over (it hasn't moved in at least 5 if not 6 years) making it a safe/reliable driver and burn some gas.

Still working out the details, bugs, and fixes on my 72. I want it 100% Road Hog Good. So 2019:

Steering:
Install pro rebuilt (need to send off) WS6 steering box, replace cruiser standard one, also PS pump rebuilt.

Winter resto Formula Steering wheel as icing for above.

Ignition:
Figure out the toasting HEI module disease.

Footing:
Going 15" rims from 14 and 60 series from 70. Deciding on Honeycomb or my old fav of vintage style 5 spoke alum, with 8" rear and 7" front.

Shifter:
Resto old factory bird ratchet for stealth cool. (70 TA unit with now Titanic mojo). Ditch the present factory standard slopshifter.

MaryAnn - you said it well; only I am going to substitute the adolescents that drive extended-cab duelly, air-polluting stinking diesel trucks for your Millennials.

How did they pass their drivers test??? Easy! Online at amazon!

Jon.

My resolutions aren't so much resolutions as a long term plan.

My target for retirement is age 62 1/2, roughly a year and three months from now. I'm making preparations to call it quits in the corporate world, downsize my toys, and concentrate on several of my favorites. I rent an old barn to store a lot of stuff, and I would like to get out of that rental within the next year or so.

I hope to lose some more weight. I was at a high of 254 about five or six years ago, I'm down in the 205 - 210 range right now. The US Army Height and Weight Calculator sys I should be no more than 193 lbs at my current age.

I plan to continue my walking regimen. I had hip replacement earlier this year, and I've been walking 3 - 6 miles a day when the weaterh is decent. I'm pretty good about walking except when it's is really cold or wet, just can't get motivated and my other knee hurts.

And in general, try to be more tolerant of others. Everybody has their own story, and most never know what they're dealing with in their lives. I recognize a lot of people may have more medical, family, and relationship issues than I have, so I want to remind myself I have no idea what drives others to act the way they do.

I have 2 car related goals. First, I want to finish my pro-touring ‘70 Formula. Second, I would like to get rid of all the parts I’ve managed to collect over the years. Not only will this free up space, but it will also make it less likely that I’ll start another project.

Being mentally ill and struggling daily with any number of mental maladies I can tell you it would be wonderful if more people would take your stance on being more tolerant of people because you have no idea what they are truly going thru. Also I am using the Army body mass index to try to get me down to where I need to be. Also plan to start a walking regimen.
