Default Trunk lid question

Are the corners of the trunk lid suppose to be somewhat rounded? If someone could post a close up picture of theirs would be great also.

going from memory, that black trunk lid looks to have much more a "pointed" tip than I ever recall seeing that GM put out.

That's my 73 deck lid. It's a really clean piece that needed zero body work, so I'd say it's pretty accurate.

Touched up the radius with a couple of welds and squared things off. Looks closer to the picture. I'm satisfied.....

This is a good question that needs a bit more exploring. I am restoring a '70, '74 and '78. I have a used decklid from a '79 that appears to have the rounded corners. Why is there a difference? Shouldn't they all have been the same?
