Default Guess what I'm picking up tomorrow!

Yeah, it's a Bow Tie. It's for my wife. She first learned how to drive in one very much like this.

Can you I.D. this Chevy from this picture?

WINNER!!! You nailed it. It's a two owner 1964 C-10 that's been in the same family since new. The original buyer (grandfather) passed it on to the grandson long ago. They claim that it's been garaged much of it's life. Pictures persuade me that it's true. Even has the original wood bed. Seeing it in person in the morning will be the deciding factor.

The grandson has decided it's time to sell. If it's what I expect it to be, we will close the deal.

Good luck - hope you pick it up. I had a 66 10 years or so ago. Love the looks of that era.

As young as your wife is - i thought it would something much newer.

And she wants the truck
or you're getting her a truck ?

i know guys who buy their wife things like circular saws and bench grinders
even though they asked for diamond ear rings and fur coat

We need some pictures and details!!!

I have a 67 and a 68, both C-10's. 68 is a Golden Anniversary Pickup.

I really like the 60-66 models. They were just plain utility type vehicles. Made to do a job, NOTHING else.
Not many of these had much for options, nothing fancy Schmancy. THe 67-72's were the first GM pickups to start getting a little luxury in them.

My favorite years!! Stepside or Fleet side? I used to prefer Step side but as I get older I am liking the Fleet side a little more. I hope to have one once our Firebird is done.

My wife wanted something which will go from zero to 200 in 2 seconds.

I bought her a set of scales.

Doctors say I will walk again but I'll always have a limp...

Not me, old cars, parts, memorabilia, my latest request is a lift so I can work under the cars easier. Yes I said work on the cars. BTW, I’m 62 years old. last winter he bought me my Bandit TA.

I'll get more pictures after it comes off of the trailer this weekend. I can't believe how rust free it is. Zero swelling or rust penetration in the normal trouble spots, not a sign of a blister anywhere. The paint is worn and weathered with very few dings.
Check out the bill of sale. it's a '64 that he bought in September '63. The man must have camped out at the dealership waiting for those new trucks to arrive.

Thanks Baron. I'll go with "she learned to drive in her father's really old pick up truck", and wanted one like it.
