Default '75 T/A interior door panel cups

I askeds this in the "75 T/A" section, sorry for the double post, just trying to cover all the bases. My T/A has the custom, or maybe called deluxe?, interior. The one with the horse collar seats. All the door panel cups I have been ordering have been incorrect. The chrome section around the cups are not wide?, thick?, deep?, enough to reach the door panel when mounted. Very noticeable, not even close. Could someone clue me in one where to buy the correct cups for my interior?

Thanks

are you ordering new/repro? you'd think they would be correct for the right year. otherwise your best bet is to find original GM parts on here or ebay etc.

I have been ordering repro. Would buy OEM, if I could find. I have the orginal cups, most the chrome has worn off over the years. Would expect much the same of “used”? The repro cups are the same as a set of OEM I bought from a Chevy dealer years ago. At that time, I wrote it off as Firebird and Camaro were different. Now, I’m thinking the difference is with the “deluxe” interior?

If I’m overlooking OEM in a catalogue, or anywhere else for that matter, please point them out to me. Would not be the first time I overlooked the obvious.

Thank You

as with many repro parts, they are not always exactly the same as original.

cant assume all "used" parts will be like yours or in poor condition. i have sold 2 or 3 sets of the deluxe 74-76 t/a door handle cups & they were all very nice, one set had some pitting but were still good driver condition. i may have another set, i will check & let you know. in the meantime, post a wanted ad on here or search ebay.

please post a picture of the part you have, and what you're seeing - maybe someone here has a spare that would fit the bill for you.

78w72, yes, please see if you have another good set. Meanwhile, I think it best I post a couple pics as unruhjonny suggested. However, I’m pretty much computer illiterate, can I take them on my iPhone and add them to a reply? I see that when I touch the little icon of a pic, I’m asked for a URL? Best I search a how to on the forum?

The one on the left is the orginal. Can’t see it in the pic, but the chrome is mostly faded off

See, now I was thinking that you were speaking of a TOTALLY different part!!

your worn ones, can you share the part numbers on them?
I know I have a couple of those, but maybe the part number was changed when the rim got shorter - I know that I have one which the screw has pulled through - maybe that was why the part was changed?
Either way, others and I can have a look to see if we can help you.

Just a follow up. I mentioned how I tend to overlook the obvious. I googled a search on the numbers on my orginal parts. Never would have thought of that until it was suggested I post them. Have found a pair of perfect oem cups. Thanks to everyone for your help
