This is my Bigfoot QT8K-16 Hydraulic Trailer Tongue jack unboxing, install, and review.
I purchased this (as there are other chooses) because the company is family owned and operated. All main components come from the Midwest region (USA Built). It appears to perform it's function well, but...there could have been more attention paid to the design. That being said what they did was take their RV leveling piston and convert it for use on the trailer tongue. It has an 8,000 pound lift capability with a 16 inch travel of the piston. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q9Pe...WwX10zRKXdFoDy

Went testing today, each round faster than the last. We need a different set of pulleys to go faster (larger on the bottom, smaller on the top). Will test again in three week.

Dragster update. It is broke. After testing we saw in the data that it was misfiring in the upper RPM. Randy of RPM performance suggested one of the magnets in the degree wheel might be weak. We went to turn it over by hand to check the magnets and found that the engine will only turn over so far and then come up solid against something. We are in the middle of preparing for a move so time is really precious, I hope, with the help of Steve Walczak, to do some investigation next week. (Pistons go up and down, valves go up and down, converter bolts are tight, blower turns freely)) Al Robins has suggested removing the rockers and trying again, we will also pull the pump drive. After that the pan comes off. .

If it was cheap and easy everyone would do it.
It takes a "special" type of person to be a racer. |

Steve Walczak, Gary O ’corner, and myself worked on the dragster from noon to four today, pulled the front drive, no result, pulled the pan, cannot get it all the way off in the dragster because of the pickup tube. All looks good though, rods have movement side to side. Pulled the rockers, no result, can only get five of the six torque converter bolts out because the engine locks up in a spot where we cannot get to the last bolt to remove it. No result. Next step is to pull the transmission. Maybe later tonight.

When it locks up, can you rotate it opposite way?
Does it lock up around same spot? Take plugs out to see if any damaged? Possibly something in one cylinder?

Yes rotates freely in both directions until it hits the "stop" thinking maybe a weight has dislodged in a crank counter balance. Rotates almost 360 degrees. Maybe in the transmission? Need to pick up tools, and then start again, we really did a thrash so there is stuff all over.

Are all valves seated (valve tips all at same height)?
If some cylinder is very near TDC at the "lockup", try probing through that sparkplug hole (with wire, air pressure, etc.) to feel or hear a foreign object.

All the rocker arms have been removed, all valves are at the correct height. befor removing the rocker arms, went around with a valve spring pressure checker, all moved as they should.

Transmission is out, not the problem, pulled the engine, pulled the front cover, not the problem, pulled the pan, not the problem, pulled the heads. Found this. Have no idea what or how it got there. I have two screens in the injector hat, I have weed burner exhausts (they point down not up), the intake is in tack, no pieces missing, I need to turn the blower (brand new seven runs on it) upside down to see if I can see anything.,

My engine swallowed the adjusting nut from the front fuel bowl a few years ago at Norwalk. Luckily the bolt was laying on the venturi and hadn't found its way down in the engine. The nut is made of soft metal and was just smashed flat. It didn't apear to hurt anything too bad so we ran it. I pulled the head and got it out and ended up making it to the finals in the race the next day. Good Luck finding where it came from. My bet is the new blower.

The thinking right now it is a plug from the end of one of the rotors in the blower

Update 08 25 2018 Dragster / Moving
Yes, we are moving and it will affect the number of videos produced in the near future in a negative way (less of them), in the far future there will be MORE videos and they will be more diverse. In this video we talk about the move and the current status of the dragster https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mIr8...BEt8iqd4rYh7MQ

This filter was completely clean when we started this engine after repairing the valves.
The engine was started, run until it was warmed up and we were satisfied that it was running correctly after the head work. We checked the timing, and after it was shut down, we then set the valve lash. As part of the decommissioning process I took the fuel filter apart and this is what I found. What the heck is it. It almost looks like metal shavings? Where did they come from? the pump? It is a new pump, there is a new tank and some new lines, all of which were thoroughly washed out????? The engine was run a total of one to two minutes, used less than two gallons of fuel, a Pit Pal funnel with fuel filter was used to fill the tank.

Pump is driven off a RCD Mag drive. I see no evidence of wear in the pump. I had already shot WD40 into the pump before I pulled it apart. The tanks and lines were washed out multiple times before the fuel system was put together
