Relay extension cord
Anyone know where I can get an "extension cord" for a 5 pin cube (Bosch) relay? Or a male plug to make my own extension cord?

I guess I would try to take an old relay apart and attach wires to terminals inside the box.
There seems to be a lot of sockets available with pigtails, but no plugs. Good luck, Les |

Sorry late to the show here, but will comment anyway.
Plenty of sources for auto electrical items, I go to Waytek a lot. Relay sockets. Those relay sockets with no mounting tab drive me nuts. I mean, why put a mounting tab on the RELAY and not the socket? Every time you need to check or replace the relay, you have to unscrew it? So get one with a mounting tab. They make them interlocking too, so you can gang as many as you want together. When looking for relay sockets, also check to make sure they have the one, wide slot. That's for higher amp relays (70), and the only difference is the terminal. They make weatherproof relay sockets, but the relays are a little more expensive. There's a bunch of ISO mini relay sockets too, they can include ATO type fuses, and be multi-circuit. There are modular ones as well, which you can create a gang of multiple types of sockets, relays, fuses, etc. They are no more or not much more than many of the regular relay sockets. .

To answer your original question tho, you can just use male terminals and plug them into the existing socket to extend it, but it's probably easier, and more permanent, to just cut the socket off and add wire to a new socket.
I suggest cutting the leads up to the socket at different lengths, so the barrel connectors or soldered points are not all in one spot, making it look 'pregnant'. .
